Once in a while, baseball gets very dangerous. Matt Shoemaker, a pitcher for the Angels, was struck on the right side of his head Sunday during a game with the Mariners. The line drive traveling @ 105 MPH caused a skull fracture and hematoma. The batter was Kyle Seager.
The crowd fell silent as trainers rushed to his aid.
CT scans showed he suffered a small skull fracture and a hematoma. The Angels say he’ll be out for the season but is expected to make a full recovery.
Thank goodness! Terrifying.
